Bukedea Disabled Persons Union (BDPU) is an umbrella organization that advocates for the inclusion of Persons with Disabilities’ and their concerns in the mainstream development processes.
BDPU strategic plan 2020-2024 highlights progressive commitment on part of the government through legislative and policy frameworks which promote and protect the rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Membership
Membership of the BDPU comes along with so many advantages. For a qualification, one has to be a disabled person with ages from 15 to 75.A resident of Bukedea District for over 5 years.
All the members in the group who are unable to work are helped with wheel chairs for free along with care and maintenance
